Video Podcast Support On TiVo

Video podcasts may now be viewable through your TiVo. This will be an update of TiVo Desktop Plus, TiVo’s PC application. The new updated application will be available from March. To avail of this service you need to pay $25 - a one time fee.

People using TiVo HD’s or TiVo series3 can watch complete HD versions of the video. The source video needs to be published in HD for this.

To import online video content onto your TiVo, you will need to keep the PC running, and initially download the video followed by transcoding the video into a format that can be played on TiVo. So the PC will be busy downloading the video and transcoding it. You can transcode only when the PC is not in use.
