Tivolution
The TV has evolved into TiVo mode. Are you with the pace? From its beginnings with a conjoined antenna, Television has morphed into a media that has changed the world. News, entertainment, sports, you can catch it all on your favorite channels. But with these, came advertising which some found akin to a grain of sand in the eye. TiVo was the answer to all the advertising. Now that is changing once again. Corporations are finding ways around viewers skipping advertising with a little help from TiVo.
Now for an update on the digital world that awaits you. Next year, three days after Valentines day, Feb 17, midnight, there will be a stoppage of all analog television transmissions. All TV signals will be digital. For viewers using antennas for analog Televisions, converter boxes will become essential. Viewers using digital cable or satellite services will not notice the difference.
Lets take a look at how your devices, including TiVo’s will be affected by the change in transmission. All televisions will need digital connections. For cable connections, no converter is required. For TiVo’s connected to analog antennas, the newer TiVo’s do not need converter boxes. Check with your supplier on this one.
