TiVo Plus Blackberry

In the mobile phone market, TiVo branded video streaming apps that are made for mobile phones are absent. Nothing has happened on this front as yet. However, a partnership between TiVo and Backberry has been announced. This announcement was made at CTIA, San Francisco on Thursday. Perhaps Slingbox people should be concerned.

 

The joint announcement by TiVo and Blackberry was only an announcement. It was nothing more. Streaming video hasn’t been mentioned and TiVo apps tailored for the Blackberry have not been released either.

The press release says that the first app would be released later this year, and it would remotely schedule recordings as well as check program listings. Mobile access to video content would be simplified via future apps.

 

Tongues have been wagging since the announcement. If your recording TiVo shows could be streamed to the blackberry, it is a wonderful concept and if these two companies are partnering such a concept should be high on their agenda.

 

What if TiVoToGo were made for the Blackberry. What if there were a TiVo streaming app. There are exciting possibilities with this partnership and I am sure many viewers are waiting!
