The Triumvirate: TiVo, Roku and Amazon

April 25, 2009

TiVo, Roku and Amazon, not necessarily in that order :) have partnered for HD video on demand. Now TiVo owners can own high-def movies as well as shows in another cool way. Via the new and cool partnership with Amazon.com, TiVo subscribers can download HD videos straight from the Amazon video on demand to their devices.

The Dope on TiVo Transfers

April 19, 2009

There is a good reason I changed from the Comcast DVR to TiVo. The channel guide from Comcast is not user friendly at all. Not only is it slow but you also have to arrow through ads as you navigate. TiVo charges just $13 per month, though you have to buy their DVR. Lifetime subscription could cost you $399 or $299 as an active customer. Around the DVR universe people generally do not appreciate the DVR from Comcast.

A TiVo Blu-Ray was like a dream. TiVo and the ability to play Blu-ray DVD’s in one package was a great dream. Initial discussions between Hybrid TV and LG have taken place. This is strange since LG’s interests are conflicting with TiVo’s
